Maine Instructor Course
Level 2 - Methods
Description: Professional preparation to meet
the traffic and safety needs of schools and communities. Methods of classroom
and on-road teaching. State and national standards and recommended practices for
teaching traffic education. Includes on-road training.
Prerequisite: Valid operator's license and Maine
Instructors Course Level 1.
Laboratory: Classroom/on-road Sally
King and
on-road Ronald Vance.
Textbooks: Student must purchase before class
starts: Responsible Driving (AAA, Glencoe, 2000) and Maine #29A.
Grading: Students will be graded on oral and
written presentations, class work, tests, and in-car driving skills. A grade of
at least 80% is necessary to qualify for driver education certification.
Attendance: Students may not miss more than 6
hours of class. Makeup work will be required at the discretion of the
instructors and an additional fee of $35 per hour will be charged for each
makeup session.

Class Fee: $500 must be paid in full before
class starts
